Juan Francisco Covarrubias 

Founder and Principle Consultant

Juan has over 28 years of public service experience as a firefighter / EMT, fire engineer, fire instructor, police officer, field training officer, youth community mentor and an independent linguist contractor for the United States Government. Juan leverages his extensive background in emergency response, public safety and community outreach to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from a crises.

Born and raised in Chicago, Juan's roots as a first-generation Mexican-American shaped his deep commitment to cultural understanding and community support. His experience spans in critical roles as a front line responder, crisis management training and volunteer to community youth outreach.

With a Master of Science in Threat and Response Management at the University of Chicago, with a concentration in National Security and Cyber Security, a Bachelors of Science in Public Safety Management from Southern Illinois University, with a concentration to Alternative Care Sites (ACS).

Juan combines academic knowledge with practical field first-hand experience to deliver comprehensive crisis strategies. His focus on resilience, strategic crisis planning, and community engagement defines his approach, making him a trusted community leader in the realm of public safety and emergency preparedness. 

Having worked on the front lines in Chicago—a city where navigating complex cultural dynamics and critical incidents is an everyday reality— understanding the nuances of strategic crisis communication and operational readiness.
